Pallares Solsona Secateurs
Pallares Solsona Secateurs
Cuchilleria Pallarés was founded in Solsona Spain in 1917 and the third generation took over the running of the company in the early 2000s. All knives are hand sharpened.
There are three styles in the Pallarés Solsona gardening range. All made from carbon steel with bright orange handles to help with finding them if dropped in the garden. The spring on these is very easy to handle and won’t strain your hand.
Remember to always clean and oil these after use to stop any rust forming. If rust does develop, carefully clean with an abrasive scrubber and vinegar, wipe clean and lightly oil. Carbon steel holds the cutting edge extremely well but sharpen when needed.
Secateurs: For all your twigs and small branches, great for pruning.
Flower snips: The serrated edge on the blade helps with cutting round flower stalks as they stop them from rolling out.
Pruning shears: My favourite all-rounder of the three. Sharp, light to work with and perfect for herb and flower trimming, excellent if you have a small garden or just want to go with one style.
