Cottage Industry was established in 2008 on Gertrude Street Fitzroy. The business has always been grounded in the functional and the handmade with a strong focus on textiles. While we create a great deal of our stock in our studio down the road we also search the world for fair-trade, ethical and artisanal products. Our stock is constantly changing and evolving.

Cottage Industry and Penelope Durston  acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we work, Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay respects to all First Nations people of Australia, and recognise their connection to the land. Sovereignty was never ceded.
