Trovelore: Donuca Moth Art Piece
Trovelore: Donuca Moth Art Piece
Back in July we noticed in the background of a little video on Trovelore’s account a series of amazing works. We showed the video to their agent here in Australia and so the ball started rolling…. These incredible art pieces are the brooches ramped up to 11, or perhaps more accurately to 111, and they are just so beautiful! Created on a synthetic felt they are built up in free stitch embroidery, hand embroidery and thread tufting, and are then highlighted with French knots, seed and bugle beads, and sequins.
On the back they have a ring for hanging and two loops for installing the metal stand. The stand comes apart of packing and is simply screwed together. Each piece comes with a storage/travel box.
Trovelore is a treasure trove of exquisite hand embroidery techniques from many cultures and generations. Their mission is to preserve and innovate hand craftsmanship for a new patron. They believe that design can democratise craft by offering sustainable and accessible, collectibles. At Trovelore they only make-to-order in small batches at their dedicated hand embroidery atelier in India. Their process is low on waste with no overruns and excesses.
Hand and machine embroidered using cotton, felt, metal and beads. Hand made in India at Trovelore’s atelier.
