A stunning Sophie dress from our friend Zara of Las Ninas Textiles. Zara works directly with the makers in Mexico and has built up a trusted relationship over the last 20+ years. We sold these dresses for many years in the shop and retired the last of the stock into storage, but now is the time for these pieces to find new homes and be worn.

Made from 100% cotton calico, fully hand stitched, smocked and embroidered. It has a front and back yoke with the skirt smocked and gathered. Sleeves are a short puffed sleeve coming into a smocked cuff.

This garment has been photographed on a size 10 trade mannequin. Being handmade these garments all vary in size, they do not correspond to western size greats. Please refer to the measurements and try measuring them against garments in your wardrobe to get a feel for size if you aren’t handy with a tape measure on your body. The photos don’t catch the natural calico of the fabric.

** Please not there are some faint blue marks on the side hem area of this dress. It came in with these marks sadly but they aren’t really noticeable. Last photo.**

Washing instructions:

Hand wash or delicate machine wash in cold water.

Shake and line dry.

Do not soak or bleach.

Warm iron if you are one of those types of people, but really don’t waste your time.
