If you say ‘but I prefer doonas and I don’t need a top sheet’ then let me remind you that sheets are easier to wash than quilt covers and if you’ve ever wondered why hotel bedlinen is so nice to slide into it’s because they always make the bed with a flat sheet then a quilt then a another flat sheet, known as the triple sheet system (look it up)…. and don’t get me started on my love of a wool blanket….
