A loose and oversized dress made from beautiful indigo dyed batik cotton. This weight is heavier than the lungi or ikat fabric versions, perfect for autumn and into winter. The spots are wax resist and the fabric has been dyed in indigo. We’ve washed the finished garment but be aware that indigo fabrics can sometimes ‘crock’ (transfer with rubbing) onto lighter colours so we suggest not sitting on a white leather sofa in this garment! There are side seam pockets and the neck has been cut wide but not too deep. The bodice has a drop shoulder so the sleeve attaches around the bicep area and the fit is loose.

The indigo blue is more accurate in the first photo shown in the window. My iPhone doesn’t like saturated colours and the photos taken on the mannequin in the studio are showing as a brighter blue. It is a lovely dark classic indigo shade.
