Field Pants: Honey Beige 100% Cotton 5 Wale Corduroy
Field Pants: Honey Beige 100% Cotton 5 Wale Corduroy
Our Field Pants have a flattering flat front, elasticated back waistband and a side zip, and sit on the natural waist without a raised waistband. The pockets at the front are angled and lined in handwoven cotton ikat fabric with Liberty binding, and there is a patch pocket at the back. Designed as a slightly cropped pant they are working well on people of all different heights as they are shaped in at the hem. They have a seam running down the front of the leg, a shaped side seam and dart at the cuff giving them a slight ‘barrel’ shape.
This soft and delicious 5 wale 100% cotton corduroy is delightful. We haven’t washed it as we normally would with all or garments going in store as it has been tested for shrinkage and the fabric was enzyme washed when produced to soften the handle. Washing will change the pile on the corduroy giving it more texture and depth. Always wash corduroy inside out with the zip closed and button done up. Shake and hang up to dry. If you really feel the need to iron or steam do not do this on the right side of the fabric, always from the reverse/wrong side as heat and pressure can damage the pile.
The hem curves up slightly and we have found that while these are designed to be worn at a cropped length they are working really well across a wide range of heights.
The measurements include the waist relaxed and also gently stretched. While I have included the stretched measurement they are actually not designed to be worn at full elastic extension (that would be uncomfortable!). While this design is ‘fresh’ we are working out how the sizes compare to the classic 8-10-12-14-etc and feel that they work well across sizes. An example being the small is fitting as a 10 to small 12, medium 12 to small 14, etc. We are still trying to get this sorted out in our heads!
Cold water wash inside out to preserve the pile. Shake and dry on a hanger. Do not iron or bleach.
