Cottage Industry Candle Jars

A$24.00

Our own scented candles are back in stock…. finally! Poured in short runs in the studio in some of our favourite smells, the fragrance oils we use have been mixed from different suppliers to create the scents we use.

Made from soy wax in recyclable/reuseable (wash in warm soapy water) amber glass jars with metal lids. We use braided cotton wicks.

120ml: burn time 20+ hours

Scents:

Pimms + Dry: We haven’t done this for some years, cucumber, mint and ginger ale

Fitzroy Coffee: The delightful smell of freshly roasted coffee

Black Tea: Well it’s black tea, clear, leafy and a bit of tannin

Gingerbread: One of our most popular scents! spicy and delicious!

Open Fire: the burning wood of a campfire or an open fireplace, we’ve add a touch of pine and cedar to this mix

Santal: A new addition, a classic warm and woody sandalwood

Cedar + Pine: the sweetish cedar scent with a hint of scotch pine, no antiseptic pine o clean smell there!

Moss + Rain: a scent we have been hunting for for awhile now, that cold deliciously damp smell of earth after rain. This one contains geosmin that gives that particular smell we know as petrichor, sadly not the Australian summer rain on dry earth small that I am on the hunt for but a more spring/autumn earth scent.

Ambergris: one of our favourite incense smells, moody and evocative

Lemon Verbena: fresh and bright lemon scent

Cinnamon + ginger: Warm with the scents of cinnamon and ginger, two of my favourite spices.

Spiced Rum: All the spices with a hint of rummy warmth.

All the important instructions!

The first time you use your candle, burn it for long enough for the wax to melt right to the edges of the jar. Depending on the size of the candle, this may vary from 1-2hrs.

Trim your wick to 5mm in between each burn to prevent smoking and sooting. Ensure your candle has cooled to room temperature before trimming your wick.

Do not leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep your candle out of reach of children and pets when lit.

Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This ensures the flame doesn't become too large or hot, and can help to extend the life of your candle.

Always burn your candle on a stable, heat resistant surface, away from drafts and flammable objects.

Always be careful when handling the jar when burning as it may get hot to touch.

Make sure the candle is completely cool before replacing the lid.
