Whenever anyone pops this dress on they immediately start swaying to make the skirt swish and swing. This dress style is going into our repeat folder and it will continue to be produced in different fabrics. It is a relaxed oversized fit but is not overwhelmingly loose.

Made from 100% handwoven cotton ikat fabric. This fabric has been made for us in India and is hand dyed and woven by an amazing artisanal company outside of Hyderabad using traditional techniques. Buttons are made from natural river shell.

The style has been cut on a shirt block so there are no darts or side shaping but the 4 metre diameter of the skirt adds weight and therefore shape to the bodice. It is a loose fit but not oversized. The sleeves are roughly bracelet length with a buttoned cuff and can also be worn rolled or scrunched up for a casual look. The convertible style collar can be worn done up to the neck or more relaxed with the top buttons undone and the collar flattened.

We sample our garments in size 2 (10) with measurements of bust 90cm waist 70cm. Sizes go up or down in 5cm increments. The measurements below are for the garment NOT the body measurement. We encourage playing with the size. Based on the body size measurement this garment has 20cm ease, but is also works well either more fitted or worn in a larger size.

Gentle machine wash in cold water. Shake and place on a hanger to dry, adjust to shape while wet. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.
